It’s nice to see that my photos are still being used by MillionTreesNYC and NYC Parks. This is what is looks like on the MillionTreesNYC.org site:

This moment was photographed during last year’s Four Borough Neighborhood Preservation Alliance tree giveaway. It was a great way to end off the Spring 2011 season by hosting a giveaway in Forest-Hills. The community lost hundreds of trees during the September 2010 storms.

Each year, MillionTreesNYC and New York Restoration Project works with local neighborhood groups in organizing tree giveaway events in the spring and fall, perfect times for planting city trees.

NYC residents register to pick up their free trees in their neighborhoods. They also receive tree care tips and lessons on how to plant their tree. Each tree that is planted is part of the MillionTreesNYC intiative.

Tree giveaway days have already been schedules for this spring. If you are interested in owning your very own tree, visit the MillionTreesNYC.org site.
