I have this. Maybe I’ll join the club in turning my skin into a canvas but I have one problem, it can be quite painful and itchy.
Here’s a reblog of alltoosurreal‘s post:
Dermatographic urticaria/dermatographism/dermatographia: is a skin disorder seen in 4–5% of the population and is one of the most common types of urticaria, in which the skin becomes raised and inflamed when stroked or rubbed with a dull object.
I’ve had dermatographia since I was about 10 or 12. Some people think it hurts (it does get pretty red, but it doesn’t hurt at all), others find it quite interesting (well, it is.) Sometimes it’s such a hassle, especially in school during PE when balls randomly hit you on the face and your forehead swells. But there are times it’s pretty convenient, especially when you’re bored with nothing to do on a Saturday night. These are some “skin doodles” I’ve done during times like such.
